Barcelona are considering signing Sporting Lisbon striker Luis Suarez as an alternative option should their pursuit of Julian Alvarez fall through.
According to reports, Suarez is already on Barcelona’s shortlist, but signing him will not be easy, given his status as a key player for Sporting.
Barcelona still consider Julian Alvarez their first choice and will not seriously consider Suarez and other alternatives until next week, should the Alvarez deal remain stalled.
Therefore, Barcelona are preparing a backup plan in attack, and Suarez has emerged as a strong contender should the Alvarez transfer prove impossible.
